The World Typewriter 1886 by  Pope manufacturing originally sold for about 10 dollars. Now this rare find can be yours. This machine is the Type 2 which can type 76 characters. Serial number 2182.  At some point it looks like a young Irving claimed it as his own. Hanging hardware was added by me to display it. It is a bit rusty and I have not tried to clean it as I am no professional.
